What We Do?

We help communities see the hidden crime of human trafficking. Our programs build a path to more equitable understanding of the problem since, as a multi-culture criminal activity, human trafficking is more than just a single subject to be taught. To fight against it, we should eliminate every issue that makes people vulnerable to being targeted by traffickers, including, but not limited to, violence, abuse, poverty, and houselessness.

Lack of community awareness and existence of various types of social discriminations that some of our community members face make them even more vulnerable to trafficking situations. Our goal is to empower our communities through education, about how to identify and report human trafficking, to minimize victimization of vulnerable people.

We address human trafficking in the context of a social justice education program. We believe education is the engine of justice, economic growth, and the best investment we can make in the future of our society. The better educated our society is regarding various subjects around human trafficking, the more inspired, productive, and innovative people maybe to advocate for systemic change to end human trafficking.

How We Do It?

Our educational modules emphasize educating the Top 5 communities who were points of access to help for human trafficking victims.

"I participated in one of your (GHT’s) programs last year. You put me in contact with one of the authorities in the district. He personally stood on top of my case and dropped all the charges against me (since I was considered more like a criminal rather than a victim!) ... This is while my case was going on for a long time... about 2 years… If it was not because of you, I was not able to get the legal help I needed. Just wanted to say thank you!"
